Anne Brooks MacDonald is a bestselling author, editor, publishing consultant, and founder of Brooks Storyhouse, where she helps writers navigate the journey from manuscript to published book.

With more than six years of experience across the publishing industry, Anne brings a behind-the-scenes perspective to her work with authors. Her career has included both acquisitions and book production, giving her firsthand experience in what publishers look for when considering a manuscript and what it takes to transform that manuscript into a professionally published book.

As an editor, Anne has worked on books that have gone on to become New York Times and USA Today bestsellers. Through consulting, acquisitions, and editorial work, she has also helped numerous authors strengthen their projects, navigate the publishing process, and secure publishing opportunities.

Anne is a bestselling author herself, giving her an understanding of publishing from both sides of the desk. She speaks on writing and publishing and has participated in major literary and industry events including IBPA Publishing University and WriterFest.
